My favorite poem! As far as I know it's not too widely known so I'm impressed to see it posted here. It had an instant impact on me when I first read it a little over twenty years ago (in high school) and it's the only poem that I still have memorized.

The truth is that I know all the poems ever written, and simply "read" the mood of the blog to make my choice. It's very tricky of me.
I love the way the mouse comes out of the floor instead of being on the floor.
If everyone in the world knew that poem off by heart then I can't see how prejudice could continue to exist.
